Time:11:30-1pm
I will be presenting at the Annual Kaw Valley Eagle Day festival Saturday, Jan 22, 2011 at Free State High School, Laurence, Kansas. http://www.kawvalleyeaglesday.com/
My visual presentation, "Soaring With The Eagles", will be followed by a hands on activity scheduled from 11:30 -1. The program features art from found materials, eagle in mythology, and air quality education. My presentation, 'Soaring with the Eagles' is a program that invites people to connect with their personal power, to create and reach for dreams. It emphasizes the importance of air quality and the opportunity we have to create change in the world with each breath we take (and that is ~20-24,000 breaths per day!). Art on display will include the ENVIROSCAPE: Eaglets at Breakfast, and the AIR HOUSE.
The ENVIROSCAPE: Eaglets At Breakfast is a 4' x 5' x1' piece made of reused/recycled materials. It was designed for cross curriculum education and has most recently been used in conjunction with AIR QUALITY education in the Boonville, and KCMO area. School projects were featured in the AIR Exhibit in KC last November.
The AIR HOUSE illustrates how much air we each breath everyday (~3000 gallons).
